The world’s largest wrestling promotion, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), and Fanatics Betting & Gaming have entered into a multi-year exclusive licensing agreement to create wrestling-themed casino games.
An American professional wrestling promotion, WWE, has signed an exclusive multi-year licensing arrangement with Fanatics Betting & Gaming, a division of Fanatics, a worldwide digital sports platform based in Florida, to create and distribute online casino games with a WWE theme in the US.
This agreement grants Fanatics Betting & Gaming the exclusive right to create the biggest online casino games with a wrestling promotion theme for Fanatics Casino, which is accessible on iOS, Android, and the web in the US states of Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. In time for SummerSlam, a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) and livestreaming event, which will take place over two nights on Saturday, August 2, and Sunday, August 3, at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, the officially licensed WWE online casino games will debut at the end of July.
The agreement is part of a broader partnership between the companies, which includes global e-commerce, the sale of licensed merchandise and memorabilia, as well as producing and distributing a growing lineup of digital shows.
The game’s lineup will be developed by Fanatics Game Studios in collaboration with Boom Entertainment and Games Global. Fanatics Game Studios has produced several of the most popular games on Fanatics Casino. The WWE-themed online casino games that will be available at the end of July will include WWE Blackjack, Raw Multiplier Melee, SmackDown Big Money Entrance!, WWE Bonus Rumble Gold Blitz, and WWE Clash of the Wilds.
A special promotional campaign for players is planned for August. The popular Spin to Win game will receive a very special WWE makeover as part of the WWE-branded takeover of Fanatics Casino, which is being held in conjunction with SummerSlam in New Jersey. Fanatics will also be offering exclusive sign-up deals.
